 We currently feature presentations about the book of Amos, which is replete with amazing poetics. We will continue to add presentations about Amos and other ancient texts.


The setting is the mid-eighth century BCE, before the conquest and exile of the northern kingdom. Due to themes of violence, it is for a mature audience.‍


Amos is from the south, and his opponent, from the north, shoots his mouth only to have his words ricochet back as curses! WATCH

Ancient Poetics presents ancient stories and their literary techniques through video, animation and audio to make them easy to understand.

By displaying ancient literary techniques and devices, we allow them to generate their meaning, even today, in that way "bringing ancient texts to life."

We aim to spark interest in the stories and their poetics as they also reveal ideas of their ancient cultures and epochs.
